Before use, simply rehydrate it under warm water to restore its absorbent power. This shammy achieves maximum drying power when it's damp! How should I store my shammy? After use, rinse it clean and wring out the towel, refold it slightly damp, and store in the sealed bag. If unused for over a week, refold it slightly damp before letting it air dry and store unsealed. Rehydrate before use. What size dog is this appropriate for? The extra large 34" x 26" size is good for medium and large dogs. The shammy can safely be cut or trimmed into smaller towels that may be more manageable for smaller breeds. This unique material will not fray or unravel. Is the shammy machine washable? Yes! Machine wash with a mild detergent weekly for daily use and monthly for weekly use. To remove excess oils, smells or stains, machine wash with 1 cup baking soda.
